Hiking around Raulandshaugen (2014-10-03)

Tone & I have spent the last week planning the courses and checking all the control sites for race #4 in next year's Sørlandsgaloppen (i.e. the JWOC Tour races), I cannot post anything from those trips of course!

Today we tried something different, a hike on the SW side of lake Totak, with a nice view across the lake towards Arabygdi, Krossen and Rauland proper. The dotted red path around the south and east sides of Raulandshaugen had been allowed to revert to nature, it was barely possible to squeeze past the very dense spruce and birch vegetation by following in the moose trails.

The return trip on the north side was much nicer, with several animal paths traversing the hillside.
