O-Festivalen Langdistanse H55 (25.06.2016)

Yes! A win in the largest race of the season, and by more than 3 min. This was definitely more than I expected so I'm very happy that the trip to Asia didn't impact me too badly.

1: A little hesitation before I found the path 100 m before the control but no stop.

2: Very nice, good flow and my first leg win. Here I took over the lead and kept it to the end of the race.

3: OK

4: Crossed the two ditches a bit too far north and lost 30 sec.

5 & 6: OK

7: By far the longest leg in a few years, except for missing 30 sec inside the control circle I managed to run fairly well for the 16 minutes it took.

8: Didn't know which set of cliffs I jumped down before the path, lost another 30 sec.

9: OK, my last split win

10: OK

11: Not a single path or track from the previous runners so I just had to keep the direction through the dense green stuff.

Finish: Second best split time up the hill, that's better than I usually do.

In hindsight it is obvious that I gained some time from starting almost last today, at least compared to those that started in the first 30-40 minutes, but with a 3+ minute margin I probably would have won no matter when I had started.
