Veteranmesterskapet Sprint H65 (2022-09-02)

Wonderful start, good flow to the first 3 controls, then I made what I thought was a 10 sec detour to #4 but I ran so fast that I still won the split clearly. After we left the forest other runners where just as fast as me or even faster but I lead the race by about a minute. I then made a slight extra bend to #11 where I had started to read on the leg to #13: Left or right?
Leaving #11 I knew that going left would be faster but then instead of going on to #12 I immediately started on that left route. Looking at the split times from the faster runners on my course I gained maximum 15 seconds on this illegal shortcut, i.e. I should have finished in 18:40-18:45 which would have been very nice indeed after this injury-filled season.
