Hiking and checking paths on autogenerated map in Rauland (2014-11-02)

This area is just to the north of Vierli where Vinjes Fjelløp was held this summer, the mapping is the same as we used there, i.e. autogenerated plus a few paths drawn in from ortophotos. The JWOC 2015 terrains start about 5 km south of this area.

As can be seen here, some of those paths have gotten alternative routes in the time since the photos were taken, i.e. we never strayed from the main path on the way up to Nibbenutan. The paths south of the peak were mostly wishful thinking, they were barely visible today, but the steep hillside where we linked together open (yellow) patches was very nice anyway.

PS. The big green stripe is one of the main ski tracks in winter, in summertime it is just visible as path segments joining together open marshland.
