County championship Night-O, mass start.

OK to nr 1 and 2.

Started towards nr 3 with no plan at all, and messed it up quite badly: When I hit the lighted track halfway I believed I was a lot futher north, then I saw a boulder which I guessed was the closest one of the pair 200 m further north. When I left the track and corssed the next path I expected to see the control very quickly, so I just kept going north until I turned around less than 50 m before I would have found it. At this point I still didn't go directly to the the lighted track to relocate but searched a bit before I decided to "run south to the lighted track junction".

When I finally realized what I had done and made it back to the control I had lost at least 4 minutes and was totally alone in the forest.

The rest of the race went quite well, I passed two guys between 4 and 5, then I saw a bunch of runners nearby 6, they came from the other butterfly loop.

By the time I started towards 10 I was still completely alone but when I hesitated a bit towards 11 I saw a long string of lamps coming towards me, so I ran as fast as I could, taking the easiest and safest route towards the last control and the finish inside the ice hockey rink.

It turned out that everyone else had made mistakes as well, so I won just a few seconds in front of a sizeable group!
