KM Sprint H60 Hordaland (21.05.2017)

Made a bad mistake into #2, didn't manage to match the map to the terrain, and when I recovered I had to run around the fenced-in area. The next problem was that the gate into the kindergarten was closed so I ran past it until I spotted the control.

I probably lost nearly a minute here.

On my way to #3 I saw something white flash past in the corner of my right eye but didn't think about it until I had punched the control and realized that my compass was totally broken: Only the bottom "plank" remained! I decided to reverse course since that seemed like a good route to #4, and I did find the retaining ring/cover, but not the actual compass house.

I ran OK to #4 & 5, but I lost a couple of seconds out of 5 by not reversing back to the street immediately.

#7, 8 and 9 were all OK.

The final run-in might have been the longest I've had all year...

EDIT: The split times confirmed the time loss to #2, but at least I still won H60, with best time on all but two of the controls.
