OBIK P15 (15.06.2017)

Good race, took tough route choices to 2 and 8 intentionally even though the easier alternatives were almost certainly faster.

Won the course by 4 min today:

I was very insecure halfway to #1, this was my first race on 1:10K in a long while so I tended to stop too early. Here I lost 20+ sec.

To #2 it was quite obvious that the big path to the left would be fastest, unless the indistinct paths straight on were quite good, but on my two previous races on this map I ran that main path both times (in the opposite direction), so I chose my route to get more orienteering. Lost a few seconds to the best split.

#3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 were all quite good.

To #8 I did the same as to #2, i.e. I ran straight on to get maximum orienteering. The road route had to be faster but I lost less than 10 sec to the best split.

The remaining controls were all good.

So, except for the hesitation to #1 I did everything exactly as planned, no mistakes. :-)
