Oslo City Cup 1 - H60 (28.03.2017)

Started OK, led the race from the third to the 9th control, but I made too many small mistakes to maintain that and Harald Hovi passed after that.

OK to 1-2-3-4, but #5 had been moved! It was supposed t be at the NW corner of the building (the Livelox map image I'm using here has misplaced some of the controls), but as my track shows I had to go about 30 m back east to punch. Lost 10-15 sec here but many others lost even more.

#6 was also located away from the proper corner, so that those who chose the opposite way around the building saved 5 sec.

7-8 were OK.

To #9 I could have gone all the way around, avoiding the green, but I was only 2 sec behind the best split.

I lost 10 sec to #10, due to vegetation and hesitation at the end.

#11 was also located a bit away from the proper spot.

#12 was OK

#13 was the worst control, I lost 27 sec to the best split here before I finally found the flag far away from the end of the building. This is also where I lost the lead for good.

OK to #14

Bad route to #15, both the light and medium green was nearly impassable so I lost 12 more seconds to Harald here.

I gained back 8 of those seconds to the last control and one more second to the finish line but I was still 16 seconds behind at the end of the race.
