Fossum Klubbmesterskap Natt (2018-10-24)

Another club Night-O championship, this time it was Fossum who allowed me to start in their race, but this time outside the mass start:

The first control was really well hidden, with some new windfall and other obstructions not shown on the map. I passed more or less over the flag 3 times before I finally spotted it using a compass course through the green from the track junction below. Lost 5:30 here!

Good orienteering to #2, 3 & 4, then as I was approaching #5 in the green below the cliffs I met another runner who was searching in the opposite direction: This was just 15-20 from the flag so I thought it had to be behind me and returned together with him, This was wrong, I lost another 2 min here.

Back to OK orienteering to #6, 7, 8 & 9.

Running down to #10 I had perfect flow all the way into the circle and I remembered that I had this boulder in a (daytime) race many years ago, and that it was located surprisingly far down the hillside, but I still stopped a few meters too soon and started searching. Lost another minute. :-(

OK to #11, should have climbed up two contours immediately to the next but hit it OK anyway.

OK to the two last controls, particularly good flow down to the last which I hit perfectly.
