Kirkøy postplukk (25-07-2025)

I started my birthday celebration today by running a control picking exercise designed by Fredrikstad SK, it did not go well. :-(
First three controls were OK, then I tried to read the contour lines and diverged abruptly from my compass direction to #4.
5 ok, failed to spot the streamer on 6, horrible mistake to #7, could not see the dot knoll to my right on #9, so I turned left instead.
The next controls were OK up to 16 where stopped way too early in the green stony ground. A direct route between the cliffs would have avoided all the problematic areas.
17 was placed on the wrong cliff, but both were visible at the same time so it didn't make any difference.
Next mistake was to 26 where I again totally ignored my compass and ran 60 degrees away from the correct line.
I'm guessing 6-7 minutes of total time loss, and that is at least 5 minutes too much on an exercise like this.
