Re-run of H60 Long course from VM in Rauland (12-10-2017)

"What a diff'rence a day (or three) makes!"

After a couple of days of heavy snow, followed by enough rain to melt all of it last night, the terrain was absolutely soaked today, as well as cold enough to require my largest O shoes with thick wool socks, a wool sweather and a somewhat water-resistant training shell jacket along with a hat and ski gloves.

The result was as I expected, i.e. significantly slower running speed but my orienteering was pretty much perfect today. When I planned the courses for one of the public events during JWOC 2015 all my controls were located north of this course so today was nearly virgin terrain for me.

I hit all the controls more or less spot on, with very little hesitation to verify that I had found the correct detail, no repeat of the mistake on #1 of the Middle distance course.
