Very good orienteering but tough to start first in the breakable crusty snow. :-)

I tried to stay close to the line on most legs but I slid a little bit left on the first control. When I spotted a control on the boulder pair I checked that and used it as a restart point.

OK to #2.

OK to #3 as well, but I lost over a minute on some stomach problems.

To #4 I decided to stay in the light green since that was dense planted spruce with less snow on the ground, then I attacked the control from the knoll by the field, checking the cliffs on the way south.

#5 was my worst mistake, going too far right. I recovered as soon as I saw the boulder and at the same time I noticed the angle of the hillside.

OK to #6 and #7

#8 was my best control according to the split times, I found a very nice route and had full control all the way, to the point that when I dropped down between the cliffs I knew the flag/reflex marker would be just to the right.

OK to the rest of the controls as well, but my running speed was bad, I did a lot of walking in the snow.

OTOH the terrain, course and map were all excellent so this is definitely my best orienteering experience so far this year.

Thanks to Ås and Audun Bjerknes who did a great job!
