Fränkels Kanna - CHV (Compete at Home Version) (2020-10-01)

We are organizing a distributed version of the annual Fränkels Kanna this year since it is impossible to travel between Oslo and Gotenburg. This orienteering course was designed for Egil Johansen's students at NIH, since it was of the right length and difficulty level for reserve officers I asked if we could use it. I am making a comparable course in Gotheburg for our Swedish friends!

As my wiggly track shows, the forest was very wet so that tracking accuracy was worse than usual, but the worst part happened after #8, when I started to orienteer from #9 and lost a couple of minutes before I realized my error.

I then tried to run even faster and promptly missed #10 as well. :-(

My final time was 35:33, something much closer to 30 should have been possible in a better year, but now both my orienteering and my running form is quite rusty.
